Our kennel sits on a half-acre fenced yard with grass and mature landscaping. Employees are on site around the clock to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. Dogs & cats are kenneled in separate buildings to reduce noise & stress. Dogs are exercised in age/size/temperament appropriate play groups between 8am and 10pm, while cats enjoy free roam in our cattery complete with water fountain, bird viewing window and wraparound cat tree. All pets are fed on a schedule that most resembles their home schedule. We can also administer meds/supplements etc. if provided in their original bottle with instructions/prescription.
Saragold Kennels provides all the bedding, bowls and treats for your pets stay. We ask that you provide enough food for your pets entire stay and bring a copy of their current vaccine record. Please pre-bag your pet’s food in an airtight container, or individual plastic baggies. We have limited storage space! If you would like to send any additional items with your pet (toys, beds, blankets, treats etc.) they will be kept in their kennel during their stay.
EVERY employee your pet encounters during their visit to Saragold is Pet Tech certified. This is an extensive 2-day course covering pet CPR, choking and bleeding intervention, insect bites and stings, first-aid care, and more. Certification is renewed semi-annually so that if the unexpected happens, you can feel secure knowing that your pet is in good hands. Kennel staff has also attended Heather Beck’s K9 Lifeline workshop to deepen their understanding of canine behavior and body language, safe handling practices, leashwork, and proper social management strategies.

Training Add-on’s

If your dog has completed prior training through Saragold’s, they’re eligible for Day Training! This is a boarding add-on, which means you can easily add it to your dog’s scheduled boarding visit. For each Day-Training package you purchase, We’ll spend a weekday fine-tuning any 1 behavior that your dog has previously learned. Behaviors can be anything from a SD task that your dog is struggling with, to reinforcing a place command, or helping your dog greet guests politely.
Because of the brief nature of day-training, we cannot teach your dog new commands or behaviors.

The Tune-Up, is just like Day Training, only longer! Choose Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri, and let us know what 2 skills your dog has previously learned that need some help. As with Day Training, we cannot teach your dog new commands during The Tune-Up. The Tune-Up is held Mon-Thurs or Tue-Fri only.
