Intro to Scentwork - $200

Scent Work taps into your dog’s natural love of sniffing and transforms it into a focused, rewarding game. Inspired by professional detection dogs (like those working in military and police K9 units), this sport teaches your dog to search for specific essential oils known as “target odors.”

Think of it as the ultimate game of hide-and-seek. Working as a team, you and your dog will learn to navigate four search environments: interiors, exteriors, containers, and buried hides — all while your dog hunts for trace amounts of odor.

Scent Work builds confidence, strengthens the handler-dog partnership, and provides powerful mental enrichment for dogs of all ages and energy levels. Whether you’re looking for a fun activity or a new challenge, this class turns your dog’s nose into their greatest asset.

Dogs must have completed Beginner Obedience or CGC Board & Train or must be able to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test

Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Combo, and Bordatella vaccines

No Human or Dog Aggressive dogs allowed   

Please bring your dogs favorite treats or toy, a collar and leash (4 or 6ft) and your proof of vaccination to the first night of class
