Start your puppy off on the right paw.
Bringing a new puppy home is exciting—but setting clear expectations and building healthy habits from the beginning is the key to long-term success. This 6-week introductory course is designed to help you lay the foundation for a confident, well-socialized, and well-mannered companion.
Taught by a certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, this class prepares both puppy and owner with the skills needed to build a lifetime of good behavior and responsible ownership.
S.T.A.R. stands for:
Socialization – Safe, positive exposure to new people, environments, sounds, and other puppies
Training – Foundational obedience skills including sit, down, come, and polite leash manners
Activity – Appropriate mental and physical outlets for growing puppies
Responsibility – Education for owners on raising a healthy, balanced dog
Throughout the course, puppies will learn in a structured group environment that encourages focus around distractions. Owners will receive guidance on potty training, crate training games, preventing problem behaviors, nutrition, grooming, and vaccination schedules.
Supervised puppy play sessions help develop proper social skills while building confidence during this critical developmental stage.
At the conclusion of class, puppies will have the opportunity to take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test and earn their first official achievement.
For: Puppies 10 weeks to 6 months of age
Vaccinations: Puppies must have 2 sets of Distemper/Parvo and a Bordatella (kennel cough)
All classes held at Saragold Training Building (453 Main Ave E Twin Falls, ID)
